Smartphone applications

Since it's launching the iPhone platform changed the way we use the mobile devices. It was huge and the impact of this technology is still inspiring thousands of developers and entrepreneurs to create a new generation of software applications and user interactions. In 2010 when Apple launched the third iPhone generation we've realized that is time to jump into the train before is to late. So we've bought the essential books, watched the Stanford iPhone Application Development series (good stuff, you can find it on iTunes U) and started to implement one idea we had ourselves for an iPhone application. iOS development is not the easy thing you could do if you want to do some programming, but once you get the idea it becomes a joy to work with COCOA language and Apple's libraries for iPhone, iPod and iPad. And satisfaction of doing things on this devices… I can only remember the times when Perl was on power, we had only three browsers available and we were so delighted to 'do something on the internet'. |

Choosing to enlarge our expertise on iOS development proved after a few months a good decision. We've learned pretty fast the language, frameworks and UI libraries (after all their programming paradigms were not something new for us and C++ development was only something dusty in our minds) and we become one of the few companies here in Romania that are delivering iPhone/iPod/iPad applications of their own. |

Mobile applications, especially for iPhone and iPad, became very popular as the smart phone and tablet PC market has evolved. Having a mobile version of your website is not just a trend but something you really need to keep your customers close. It’s much easier for them to stay in touch with your business wherever they are, from their mobile phones and soon you’ll notice an increase of your sales.
