Facebook dating application

About SDGM: Online dating application dedicated to those who are looking to get married. Client: Bjinse van der Zwaag, The Netherlands

What we've made:
The client requested a custom Facebook application, built on top of the well-known social network core elements, aiming to extend and channel its features to the "marriage" aspect of the social life. After installing the application the user acts as either a matchmaker, a dating candidate or both.

Concept consolidation:
This all started with the client's question about the possibility to create a custom Facebook application to help people get married. We instantly liked it , so together, in a series of brainstorming sessions, we managed to synthesise and enhance the concept, shaping it more and more until it turned into a viable, feature-rich project with a precise set of specifications

Design and interactions:
Entirely made by our team the graphic design of the application gently blends into the user's Facebook account. The user though is presented with a different (visually and functionally), customized account profile, with specific features and interaction options, without losing any of the Facebook's core elements.

Web Programming:
To implement these features we decided to use a custom designed Postgresql database and a set of specially built Ruby On Rails functions, both directly interacting with the Facebook platform itself via the provided API. As a result the newly created application is able to act inside the user's account as a fully event driven and independent entity. Its features count the capability to send custom made invitations and real time chat
