About Rental Software Rental Software is a very complex, custom made software product. Its purpose is to serve as a management tool able to handle the work process and data flows involved in a video and photo equipment rental business, with several product warehouses located accross different cities. The graphical interfaces (design and implementation) are entirely based on a technical analysis made by us and the client, following the client's original idea and vision about the project. Our programming team made a wonderful job implementing the agreed final designs, mainly using Adobe Flex, with stunning graphical effects. After the product launch, our company also provided technical support and maintenance services. The application also benefited from a series of software updates and improvements based on our team's proposals.

Consulting:
A project of such complexity required very in-depth technical analysis. The client provided a lot of information about the future project and asked for specific recommendations about hosting solutions, programming frameworks, visual interfaces, databases and user management. Most of this information came in by word of mouth rather than being written. Lots of application requirements and specs were only described in a few words. Technically speaking, the entire analysis process itself had to be split into separated parts. Step by step all of them got our attention, being fully covered and transcribed into specific written documents (logical schemas, data flows, interface mockups and so on). During the process many requirements or specifications had to be fully revised, sometimes suffering complete changes or revamps. Some of them even had to be cut out as it turned out they were either redundant or useless. Others though were added to fill in the gaps where needed. Of course we also came up with lots of suggestions to cover or improve almost every aspect of the project. Many of them were well received by the client. With each step, for both us and the client, everything became more clearly about how the project was going to be implemented. The resulted written documentation served (and still does) as more than a set of guidelines to be followed by our designers and programmers. From a strictly technical point of view it also helped the client get an insight on how the entire task was accomplished.

Custom made software:
The client came up with a set of specifications for a needed software application intended to help him manage, in an easier way, a large amount of photo/video equipment rentals. Together we managed to enhance the project's analysis and its specifications.

Graphical design for the software product:
Based on the resulted technical analysis and specifications we made a customized graphical layout set, to meet the requirements. Each page, with its own graphical layout, has been implemented using Adobe Flex.

Integrated management for multiple rental warehouses
The application allows the management of rentals in 3 warehouses, in the Netherlands. The inventory is updated in real time, for all of them.

Special graphical effects in Adobe Flex
The use of Adobe Flex allowed the implementation of several special graphic effects into the application interface.

Integrated invoices generator for the rented products
The system generates invoices for any of the rented items, manages those invoices and sends automated reminder notifications to the administrator.

PayPal and Ideal integration
The application supports payments for the rented equipment through PayPal and ideal.

Support and Maintenance:
For this software product we offer technical support and update services to continuously improve it.
